Interstand Cooling
Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow Laboratory is capable of preparing the design of cooling headers for interstand cooling at hot strip mill. The design is optimized by using the laboratory linear test bench where cooling intensities are measured. Numerical model of a finishing mill can predict final temperature drops for various combinations of cooling headers.
